PayPie Updates
We celebrate that Springtime has commenced as of March 20th (until June 20th!) and we are back with our first quarterly update for 2021.
As informed earlier, we were rewriting the code to make it easier to meet the needs of institutional lenders. We completed the first version of the code that is institutional lenders ready and it's already live. Our technology is being deployed through our partner Forward AI and we are close to getting our first early success with institutional lenders. We have a team engaged in the outbound sales activities and there are more activities planned to reach our target audience. If you are working with a small business and need to review their financial health or risk in funding their business, you can request access to the platform at .
What market we are targeting?
We are targeting lenders in the USA and Canada at this time. We are also ramping up efforts to target UK, India, Australia, and New Zealand this year. As informed earlier, we will explore use-cases for the token with lenders outside of the North American market if their local regulations support it to create additional value for our users.
Are there any changes in the business plan due to recent developments in DeFi?
Decentralized Finance has played an important role in driving crypto awareness. Currently, there are no changes in the business plan. We have very limited funds and we want to stay focused on our current business plan. Our product is very different, we strongly believe in it and we are very focused on helping small businesses who make up almost half of GDP worldwide, survive the Coronavirus pandemic.
Is there any update on the Single Ledger?
Single Ledger was started as an accounting industry initiative but we have seen other Government-supported initiatives such as e-invoicing have started playing an important role in the last few years. We believe that E-invoicing is playing an important role in providing significant efficiencies – reducing administration time, invoicing errors, and the risk of invoice fraud. We have paused further development for now until we fully re-evaluate the value in the accounting domain. Our current focus has been to bring risk assessment and other financial data to lenders simply and easily to solve cash flow problems faced by millions of SMEs worldwide.
We are living in very interesting times. Many of us are having to completely adapt our schedules, our habits, and even our business models. How we work, connect and learn together has changed. With a team and community spanning worldwide, we are feeling the impact every day. We appreciate the support of our community and our team. We will be back with the next update at the end of Q2.
